Bill Power, Facilitator, CTE Peer Groups
Following a 15-year career as a lobbyist on Capitol Hill, Bill Power and his partner Greg Praske founded Association Resource Group (ARG) in 1991. ARG initially focused on selling affinity programs to national trade associations headquartered in the Washington, DC area.
As an agent of Allnet and a subagent of an AT&T SDN contract holder, Power learned the business via the school of hard knocks. Those hard lessons served as a catalyst to the formation of The Alliance Partners in 1997. The organization was initially created as an informal “caring and sharing” group, but quickly evolved into a structured, collective sales and marketing engine made up of 17 of the most successful channel partners in the industry.
In 2007, the Alliance determined that its interests would best be served by having a full-time CEO. Through a management contract between the Alliance and ARG, Power took on that CEO role. In 2020, Power joined with several agency leaders to form Technology Channel Sales Professionals and serve as its president. In the same year, Power took on the role of facilitator of advisor peer groups as a part of the Channel Technology Entrepreneurs Peer Groups.
