Steven Gerhardt, CEO, D&M Enterprise Group LLC
Steven Gerhardt is a seasoned telecommunications professional, entrepreneur, and sales leader with a career built on discipline, resilience, and consistent high performance.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Steven earned a degree in Public Administration with a minor in Sociology before enlisting in the United States Army. He served honorably from 1987 to 1991, achieving the rank of Sergeant. During his military career, Steven spent significant time in the Middle East, including a tour in Egypt and eight months deployed during Operation Desert Storm. His service instilled in him a lifelong belief that with commitment and determination, anything is possible.
Steven began his career in telecommunications in November 1994 as a sales associate with Totaltel, selling long-distance services at $0.16 CPM. He quickly distinguished himself as a top performer, achieving quota for 32 consecutive months and earning a promotion to Sales Manager. In 1997, he joined Viatel, where he successfully balanced managing a sales team while continuing to produce at a high level. Following Viatel’s Chapter 11 filing in April 2001, Steven turned adversity into opportunity by launching D&M Enterprise on May 1, 2001, with a personal commitment that success would be driven by his own work ethic.
Under his leadership, D&M Enterprise has grown into a highly respected organization in the telecom industry. Steven was the first agent featured on the cover of Phone+ Magazine and has earned numerous industry accolades, including being a Quadruple Platinum Partner with Intelisys, a 17-time Club TPC trip winner, a Gold Level Partner with AVANT, and one of Spectrotel’s largest partners.
Outside of his professional achievements, Steven has been married for over 30 years to Laurie and is the proud father of two children, Danielle and Matthew, the inspiration behind the name D&M Enterprise.
