Chris DesRosiers serves as Director, Security Solution Business Development for Tech Data. He was appointed to the role in February 2018. In this role, he is responsible for growing the sales of security solutions through the Tech Data partner ecosystem. Chrisâ€™s teams include a telemarketing sales prospecting team, Security Vendor-Agnostic Business Development Managers, Security Services Sales Reps and Security Solution Practice Consultants who deliver the award-winning TD Security Practice Builder Partner Program to North American VARs, MSPâ€™s and MSSPs.
Just prior to joining Tech Data, Chris has had many diverse roles that included Market Development for an international Value Added Distributor for IBM cross-platform solutions for the Western USA. Chris focused on Security, Cloud and Analytics solutions in that role.
Prior to that, he worked in Silicon Valley as a Principal Recruiter for a firm that specialized in recruiting senior software development executives (VP of Eng, CTO) for Venture Capital backed startups across North America.
Chris has nearly 30 years of experience in the technology sector, with much of his career in direct sales at a Global Telecommunications Carrier, a national systems integration firm or building a successful MSP practice.
During a lifetime in technology, Chris has gained experience working in key verticals such as education, retail, healthcare, energy, entertainment and finance. He is a graduate of Pepperdine University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management degree in 1996.
