Danielle Carpenter, the COO and CFO for Xceptional, often says she “grew up at Xceptional”, and in many ways that is true. She started her her career with Xceptional as an accounting and administrative assistant in 2009, ahd her trajectory through the company has mirrored the growth of the company itself. She progressed quickly through the ranks, holding roles in accounting, operations and project management, which gave her the hands-on experience to prepare her for her role today as the COO and CFO. She is the first women in Xceptional’s history to hold these positions. Carpenter credits active support and mentorship from CEO Chris McKewon and chairman Larry Johnes for her ability to rise to meet the demands of the job. Her inherent talent and work ethic make her a natural fit.
Carpenter is the only female executive and one of the two female board members of Xceptional. She has been a catalyst for progress at Xceptional, working closely with leadership to ensure that advances in operational efficiency keep pace with advances in technology and position the company for significant planned growth.
Carpenter was a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award for two successive years and in 2022 was named their Business Woman of the Year.
