Dwayne Allen is senior vice president and CTO at Unisys, a global IT services company. He has responsibility for driving strategic priorities that help accelerate the value Unisys delivers to its clients and is currently focusing on generative AI. He also has responsibility for innovation, architecture, intellectual property and patents as well as other strategic business and client related strategies. As a digital and IT thought leader, Allen has deep experience in multiple industries including manufacturing, financial services, IT services, health care and hospitality. He also has extensive global experience, having worked on-site in 16 countries (50+ cities). Prior to Unisys Allen worked at Microsoft as a global digital strategist. He led engagements with the company’s major global clients reimagining their business and future outcomes through digital innovation and transformation. Before that he was CIO at Masonite International, a global manufacturer of building products. Preceding that he was at Cummins, a global engine and power manufacturing company, as division CIO of the components business segment. Before entering manufacturing, Allen was vice president of IT at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati and Division CIO at Wells Fargo in Charlotte, North Carolina. He began his career at Marriott International, a global hospitality company, holding a variety of roles with his last position being director of IT strategy. Allen is on the board of directors of Cross Country Healthcare, a market-leading health care workforce solutions and advisory firm, and is past board director of KPIT, an IT and engineering company in Pune, India. He won Florida 2023 CIO/CTO of the year (known as the ORBIE Award), was a 2023 finalist for ITSMF Technology Executive of the Year and was named to 2022 Top 50 IT Execs by C-Suite Alumni Spotlight. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from George Washington University and completed the Yale University leadership program.
