Channel partners need to take succession planning seriously. This applies to not only succession plans for functional parts of the business but about who would run the overall business should something happen to the founder, owner or CEO. Leaders of partner organizations must be able to answer the ultimate “what if question” of will your business be able to survive without you at the helm? We all believe the worst won’t happen to us but need to have a plan in place just in case you become disabled or pass away. Leaders need to think beyond just their strategic roles so their clients, staff, and families are well taken care of if an unfortunate scenario unfolds. We have all worked so hard to build our businesses and take care of those around us but must put strategic plans in place for the future of the business and to ensure personal legacies. In this session, attendees will learn how to put measures in place to make sure our legacy is protected if we are suddenly unable to continue as the business’ leader or owner.
