Channel Futures DE&I 101 recognizes individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds who are driving diversity, equity and inclusion in the communications and IT channel through their words, actions and leadership. These individuals are propelling their organizations forward when it comes to innovation, business growth and customer/supplier connections. The Channel Futures team is proud of its role in bringing these individuals together to network and connect with attendees at #CPExpo. We will hear from DE&I leaders on the what, why and how of creating a more inclusive workplace. A lunch buffet will be provided.

During the luncheon, you will hear from a panel on how to “Recession-Proof Your DE&I Initiative.” A full description of the panel discussion can be found below.

12-12:30 p.m. Panel: Recession-Proof Your DE&I Initiative

As companies prepare themselves for an anticipated recession by trimming budgets, DE&I initiatives are being especially hard-hit by cuts in funding as well as personnel. A recent article in HR magazine attributed this largely to a failure by senior executives to champion diversity. Because they lack understanding pf the importance of DE&I, they fail to adequately support it with proper funding and their own buy-in.

But this doesn’t mean DE&I initiatives have to lose momentum. In this discussion, a panel of DE&I-focused executives will share ideas for implementing low-cost and no-cost tactics to make the work environment more inclusive — and how to make sure senior executives are on board.

This event is open to all pass-types. Seating is limited, so pre-registration is required.
